Kathryn in the City
Today I visited the American Museum of Natural History which will be known from here on in as Diorama World. It is the funniest collection of diaramas in the world. Stuffed creatures sitting in faux natural looking settings. And in case the name confuses (as it did to me) it has no 'American history' in it. It is history of things and cultures. So loads of stuffed animals and artifacts from various cultures.
It was an interesting couple of hours anyway.
After that I took the subway down a couple of stops to Columbus Circle and wandered around the Time Warner Centre for a while. The Bouchon Bakery on the 3rd floor serves wine, divine looking pastries and has a gorgeous view down Central Park to Fifth Avenue. Delightful.
