Today is the day we set off on our epic flights to start our cruise. Leaving Melbourne and heading to Abu Dhabi on Etihad Airlines. Good flight and impressed with the service provided. Watched a few movies as unable to sleep. Arrived in Abu Dhabi and fortunately checked my emails as one our our onward flights ws cancelled due to industrial troubles in Germany.

Its midnight but we find our way to the Etihad transit desk and got the marvelous Saffa who was just so helpful. Flight is now re-routed through Rome and then connection to Barcelona which means we miss our opportunity for much sightseeing......on the plus side we do reach our ship before she sails.

Arrived in Baarcelona after about 37 hours of travel.....totally exhausted so really only had time to check out the ship, have something to eat and then finally crash for the night. Sleep is what I need right now!!
