Took a little drive down the motorway to see Stonehenge today. Nothing
like a little bit of history....The Sat Nav died on us so we had to ring
DJ at work to double check our directions......hardly any bloody
signposts here until you are almost on top of the sight!!!
One can hardly come to the UK and not go and see Stonehenge - A group of standing stones on Salisbury Plain in southern England, dating to c. 2000-1800 B.C.
A few facts I discovered;

A few facts I discovered;
- Stonehenge was constructed in three phases.
- It has been estimated that the three phases of the construction required more than thirty million hours of labour.
- Speculation on the reason it was built range from human sacrifice to astronomy.
