Today we were met with pouring rain for our walking tour around Cadiz. Founded 3,000 years ago by the Phoenicians, Cádiz is the oldest city in Western Europe. Only a quick tour to discover Barcelona's most iconic landmarks spending most time seeing the neo-Gothic Barcelona Cathedral built in the 14th-century and adorned with a wide range of animal and mythical gargoyles. We passed by La Sagrada Familia : Gaudi's unachieved cathedral which is still under construction after more than 130 years. I visited here 8 years ago and it does not look any different to today!!! Maybe the message is that I will need to visit again...

Loooong drive today. Some magnificent scenery though including the snow capped Pyrenees in the distance. Across the Spanish border - how do they know where we are?- and onto Barcelona. Ole.... What a wonderful vibrant place. The dichotomy between old and new is amazing. We got lots of winks and "Bella donnas"!!!!!! Learn't the potent strength of Sangria. Flamenco dancing performance was breathtaking.
