After waking up at 5am, we were picked up by a 4WD and whisked away to begin our journey to the beautiful San Blas Islands. Departing at 6am from Bocas, we boarded our little boat that ferried us off the islands. It made it halfway through the crossing when the motor cut out and the driver all but kicked it back to life after ten minutes of thinking we´d have to row the rest of the way. Drinking in the fumes from our beautiful motor we arrived back to the mainland and were quickly hearded into a taxi that took us to the bus station. So, where did we leave you...argh yes, the bus trip from hell. Whilst in Nicaragua we realised that we were running very low on time and decided to skip Costa Rica. For us to do this we would need to get a bus straight through the country however we had to indure a 5 hour stop over in San Jose (capital of Costa).
