J'espère que vous êtes bien et avez atteint Paris bien!

Melissa and Kate's epic journey got off to a shaky start this morning!! Firstly, when Kate asked for a photograph to be taken of her and Melissa at the airport - her camera failed to work!! There followed several minutes of pulling and banging of said camera by 3/4 of the Hogan family.........

However, the Hallmark's were not to be outdone, oh no!! After a tearful goodbye to both of our resolute travellers both families headed back to their respective cars. Then came the shout of, "MUM, WAIT." Turning around we witnessed Melissa running at full pelt - complete with big rucksack on her back - back towards us. My initial thoughts were that she'd had second thoughts about going and was wanting to come back home. Alas, not, Pauline (Melissa's Mum) had only walked away taking with her Melissa's bag that she had all her travel documents in, so Melissa wasn't going to get very far without it!! Anyway, they got checked in OK and are currently flying to begin their adventure - wish them luck...........

Hope you have a fantastic time. Don't forget to eat (not too many McDonalds though). Just think 4 weeks of freedom yaayyyy. Keep us up to date with what country you are in etc etc will miss you loads.

Enjoy your adventure, don't spend all your money in the first few days and explore all you can whilst you're away from the 'rents and exams!!!

Have a brilliant trip, take lots of photos and keep your journals up to date!!! Watch out for bedbugs and make sure the train you're on is the one you should to be on!!!!

Hello dear's!!! Hope you both have a fabulous time on your adventures, please don't get too lost or end up in the wrong country, we know what your like!! I second the notion that both of you should not come back with tat like seriously you'll have no space, well you might....... i'm going to glastonbury for a week and my ruck sack is heavier than probably both of yours put together!

Anyway's I want lots of messages and phone calls, especially on my BIRTHDAY kate!!! Wish you were there but seriously enjoy yourselves and we'll see you both in a month!! ... And remember presents from every adventure!

Have a great time, the pair of you, and make sure that you see the cities that you visit - don't just sit in the YHA hostels!!

Don't talk to strangers (actually it's ok to talk to strangers, as long as they're not weirdos) and don't waste your money on TAT!!
