Feliz Navidad everybody!!!!
We are now in La paz, Bolivia. We arrived here yesterday, christmas day!! La Paz is 3660 metres above sea level, and a huge place!!
The next few days we plan to explore and check out the witches and the black markets!! Where they sell dried up old lama fetus's and dead huge frogs! Jon is also planning on doing the death road bike ride at some point, im planning on not doing that. 'Death road' on a bike, doesn't appeal!! You'll be pleased to know mum!! ha!!
So we have come to La Paz from Copacabana, which was our first stop in Bolivia. It was a small but nice town by lake Titicaca. We were also very high up there and the clouds looked low enough to touch sometimes.
Its so cheap!! We had some dinner, the local trout and kingfish, when we first arrived in Copa, very tasty and only about 3 quid each!
We decided to travel on the boat to the Isla Del Sol, with hope of sun shine!! The boat journey was slow but nice, and i tried some Matte tea from some other travellers, very nice!
We arrived at the North of the Island, saw some Inca ruins and walked about 3 hours to the south, where we decided to stay. The walk was beautiful and very sunny! We had fun chatting with our new mates, Rachel and Beth from California.
Once we had found somewhere to stay we played cards and had a hot chocolate with a lil splash of whiskey to warm us up! ha!!
Woke up on Christmas day, freezing cold, it had snowed on the island of sun!! ha! couldnt bloody believe it! ha!
