Today was another great day to be in Hawaii, and I'm not just saying that because of the beautiful weather back in ND/MN!!!! Although, the 85 degrees and sun is a bonus! Today we had more of the same sessions with suppliers (we still weren't the big winners today) and awesome food.....breakfast at the Halekulani Hotel......which is AMAZING by the way! They are pretty famous for their wedding program and I must say, the property is pretty beautiful as well! Some day when I'm rich and famous and retired, I'm going to stay there :0)
Our day with the Hawaii Travel Exchange ended with a cocktail reception at the brand spanking new Waikiki Edition Hotel. We were treated to some awesome cocktails and appetizers and even a tour of this new facility. The pool area was definitely a great place to hang out after such a long hard day of work!
After the reception, I met up with cousin Lisa again and she took me on a driving tour of Honolulu, or at least she tried to! We were traveling during rush hour and needless to say, didn't get very far before deciding to turn around and find some dinner as it was so dark we couldn't have seen anything anyway! Lisa introduced me to an awesome steak place called Chuck's Cellar, which really is in the cellar! It was WONDERFUL! If you're in Honolulu and want something that's not really a tourist place, you have to try Chuck's. It's next to the Sheraton Princess Kiaulani and well worth the visit.
We capped off our evening with a visit to the Hagen Daas Store and then a little visit on the beach. Now I'm packed and ready to head out tomorrow to beautiful Kauai. Hopefully I don't miss the alarm at 4:30 am!!!!! It's 9:30 am in ND, it's 9:30 am in ND!!!
Look for lots of pictures and info about our activities tomorrow on Kauai!
Aloha :)
