Spent the morning exploring the amazing Roman Forum and the Colosseum (including chasing the little lizards that were everywhere). Really rewarding to see how excited the kids were about it all (thanks Horrible Histories!!). After retreating from the heat for the afternoon (like proper Italians!) we then headed to a night sound and light show in the Roman Forum. It was fantastic, really brought it to life. Such a lovely balmy evening again. Beautiful to see the Colosseum at dusk and lit up at night. The streets full of people, buskers and atmosphere. Poor Adam had to carry a fast asleep Zac all the way home. He's going to be so fit by the end of this trip!!
