Organised to meet up with Anja this morning in Troghi- Zoe and Zac's lovely kindy teacher from 2013. Was really great to catch up and reminisce . The kids were so happy to see her again. Still soooo hot here- high 30s. Felt very nostalgic driving along all the beautiful Tuscan country roads from 4 years before. As beautiful as ever...even in the baking heat! Pencil pines, old stone buildings with terracotta rooves, golden fields- ahhhh bella Italia!!

Headed off after this to Pisa. Zoe's choice after learning all about it in one of her books (thanks Nonni!). So nice that they can see that 4m lean in reality. They had a wonderful time taking the mandatory "holding up the Tower" photos and of course having more gelati! Enjoyed relaxing in the shade on the lawns feeling for the first time in forever that we weren't rushing around like mad things. Wandered through the beautiful cathedral before heading to the good old Co op supermarket and "home" (otherwise known as Palazzo D'Uva!). Got lost countless times due to the GPS redirecting us at every overpass crossing... 2 very tired children and frazzled parents by the time we finally arrived. Worth it though!
