Hello again out there in blog land. It's been a year since my last blog (well nearly) and there's been a few short trips here and there but now the time has come for another decent ride on a motorcycle. This time I'm not alone - my daughter Kylie is coming along on her "L" plates and my son Jonah is riding shotgun on the back of the BMW. Kylie is riding my old bike, kindly loaned back to us by its new owner, Blue. Blue will join me for the return ride from Darwin, Kylie and Jonah will fly home due to time constraints. My beautiful wife Sandi will also be a part of this trip and will ride on the BMW with me from Darwin to Kununurra on the way home. We are all pretty excited to be doing the trip together - especially Kylie who hasn't ridden on the road much before and will be drawing plenty of attention along the way with her big, yellow "L" plates - check out the pic's of the red bike.

I'd better not write too much on this blog, as it's now after lunch and we were meant to leave this morning. It sure is a lot harder to pack up when there's more people! Today our main aim is just to leave home and get on the road - we'll stop when we get tired/run out of light and try to cover some more serious distance tomorrow. Hopefully we'll find a few computers along the way to keep you all up to date. Sorry Jonah doesn't appear in today's photo's - he was busy watching Foxtel on his phone!
