Yes, here we are in downtown Venezia! The signs on the way in said "turisti porte" and they weren't wrong- the tourists are very plentiful, loud, impatient and hungry for internet access! the computer here I thin k is as old as the city - certainly notfast.

In our usual fashion however, we managed to meet a lovely couple from Somerset in UK, also travelling on a bike and enjoyed a great evening swapping yarns on the waterfront in Venice, over the most expensive four drinks we are ever likely to purchase.

Venice is like that - but still good. One of those places you have to see once.

Works a treat on the women too - they are all walking around here particularly glassy eyed - seems to be a special place for them. Definitely a brownie point for a man who brings his lady here.

Not sure if we still have a motorcycle - left it parked amongst about 200 others over at the main entrance - the whole place looked a bit dodgy to me - we3'll have a bit more of a look around, then go see if it's still there. Space was that tight, when i parked the bike, I had to work very hard to get my legs out from between it and the bikes on either side. Glad (as usual!) I didn't bring a car!
