Prague is BEAUTIFUL! The city is very intriguing....an odd mix between modern and very, very old. Our hostel is right in old town, which seems to be the best part of the city. The entire section of old town is cobblestone roads, patterned sidewalks, and gorgeous churches, castles, and buildings (Sean just thinks everything looks pointy!) Prague is surprisingly very romantic, and we took a leisurely stroll by the river at night, taking pictures of the many statues and the beautiful bridges. Every statue we saw was Winston Churchill, according to Sean, and after Kaitlin stopped laughing at him, she explained that Winston Churchill had little to do with Czech history. Very, very funny. After our stroll we searched for a "local" place to eat...we were feeling adventurous and tried to eat like Czechs but it didn't pay off so well. Sean had barely edible chicken that tasted like rubber bands and Kait's meat was completely unidentifiable. She ordered chicken...definitely not what came to the table. Tasted kind of like pork, with the texture of beef, and the look of spam....yummmy (not really!) We tried to eat as much as possible and wash it down with the beer, which is supposed to be "the best lager in the world"....uh, not so much. Not terrible, but definitely not the best. Granted, it did have a kick to it and after a couple we both felt like we do after a night out in the States. Great time in Prague overall, and we are heading on the train to Bratislava, Slovakia tomorrow.
