Raglan is a nice little surf town full of shops selling expensive bits and bobs. When we arrived we had a wander around the town, window shopping and looking for somewhere nice to have a couple of drinks for Charlie's birthday. We ended up in a little pub just having a couple of pints and a few games of pool. There were surprisingly few people about, apart from three other guys, we were the only other people there and didn't pass anyone on our walks to and from our van!
In the morning we decided to go visit some of the surfing beaches but discovered that there wasn't much of a beach to these places. It seemed to just be big rocks and surfers, so we only had a quick stop and started the long drive up to the bay of islands.
