Saturday was to be my only real full day in Bratislava so there wasn't a minute to waste.
The first thing we did was go and visit a kind of spiritual place dug out into the basin of a valley where people go and give thanks to the virgen Mary - something quite unique I had never seen before and something that makes you feel inside. Next stop was the famous war monument ontop of the hill - once again a beautiful setting and the perfect place to throw down some handstands. The Castle was next with its views of the Danube and the boarders of Austria.
Next Zora took me to her favorite place just outside of Bratislava - an area of parks and house boats where a number of lucky people live along the edges of the river - half being actual floating houses and the others being Boatels - another very magical place away from the high pace of the city.
At 3:30 we were to head over the boarder into Austria and Vienna to visit the start of the Vienna Christmas markets with a few of Zoras close friends. First thing that struck me about Vienna were the amount of people and the Christmas decoration absolutely breathtaking. These markets had absolutely everything and the backdrop was the Parliament house all lit up. The problem if you could call it that was the 10,000 people all crammed together pushing and shoving and unfortunately the prices were double that of Bratislava. Once again we tried some different types of punce my favourite being a coco and coconut flavored punce. We wondered around to 3 or 4 more Christmas markets before settling into a bar to get warm again.
By 9:30pm we were exhausted so we headed back to Bratislava.
Something amazing happened in Bratislava and has given me new motivation and inspiration and I am so thankful I met Zora and so thankful for all the wonderful experiences I had here - I must go tomorrow but I feel I will be back and that I will see this wonderful person Zora again.
