In the middle of the night at 3am I had 2 Argentinian Couchsurfers barge into the room which frightened the s*** out of me - they had not told anyone they were coming and they seemed pissed off I was in the room, they turned all the lights on and didn't seem to care I was sleeping or that it was 3am. After this I couldn't sleep at all so I got up at 4:30 and had breakfast with my host family. I did all my washing yesterday and its all soaking wet - I only have today to get it dry and unfortunately the sun is nowhere to be seen. I met the Argentinian couple and they are actually quite nice and I can't blame them I guess for barging in - in the middle of the night. My job today was to help make lunch which was pretty fun, we made a vegetable and meat stew with some rice - simple but good food to warm the belly. I had told the host family how much I liked to cook so tonight I would be making the dinner and seen as they go to sleep so early I would have to make dinner super early. On tonight's menu I will be making Tortilla Australianis my adaptation of the famous Spanish Dish. In the afternoon I went for a bit of a hike around the farm and up over the hill amazingly finding a little shop with Internet. At about 5pm I went back and started making dinner - it took about 2 hours to prepare and 1.5 hours to cook and by the end of it I was really b*****ed but the family all enjoyed and it was something little I could give them in return for their wonderful hospitality. I am hoping this is the turning point where I can look back and say that was the day that I realized it would be useless to travel this continent without first understanding and speaking Spanish. I have a huge couple of travel days ahead of me and I really have no idea how they are going to pan out which is both exciting and daunting.
