After leaving Venice, we took a looong train all the way down to Naples so we could tour Pompeii for the day. We drug out of bed at around 5:30AM and caught a 7:00 train that direction. After a long train ride from Switzerland, we pulled in to Venice. Initially I didn't plan on hitting the city, but after talking with several folks along we way we made a snap decision to head that direction. Everyone raved about how unique and special it is, and how no trip would be complete without it. So we gave it a go. In a nutshell, Venice is very much like what I expected.
