Jus and Phil's Travels
Brisbane
21st - 23rd August
It was just a short trip on the bus to Brisbane, stopping off at Wild Horse Mountain to catch a glimpse of the setting sun behind the Glass House Mountains. It was very strange entering civilisation again after spending a month away from it.
Brisbane was very pleasant, clean and artistic in places for a city. We did a short river cruise, taking in the sites and learning about the history and its rise to the city of today. Our favourite part of Brisbane was the recently developed south bank, with a cool meandering walkway and the Goodwill pedestrian bridge linking it with the botanical gardens on the north side of the river. However as nice as the parks and gardens were, we ran out of things to do that didn't involve shopping or eating in our 2 day stay and were glad to be heading South to Byron Bay.
