Today we drove south from Adelaide and our first stop was Port Willunga but the coffee shop wasn't open so we looked at the beach and carried on to Port Noarlunga. Success this time, had a lovely coffee, once again studied the beach and set off again.
Moving northwards our next stop was Hallet Cove and here we had a walk up to the cliff top. This area was subject to glacial erosion many millions of years ago and there is evidence of glacial activity in the cliffs and on the beach. Having both studied glaciation in A level geography Tich and I were in our element. Mick tagged along behind!! On the way beck to the car we saw a black and yellow goanna but by the time we had the camera out Mick had scared it into the undergrowth.
Making our way back to Adelaide we stopped at Glenelg, a very attractive seaside place. This is where the tram from Adelaide ends at the moment. We walked to the end of a small jetty. Once again the beach was an expanse of golden sand and the sea a beautiful turquoise blue.
Back to Adelaide and a walk round the indoor market was very interesting.
