June and Mick's Retirement Trip
This morning we set off from Adelaide for Melbourne. We have driven virtually all day and have arrived at Mount Gambier. Now don't laugh when I tell you it has been raining but appears to be clearing up now.
Most of the countryside today has been rolling fields and trees. We did travel alongside an area of water that is cut off fron the sea by an enormous spit. We had a drink at a very remote cafe beside this water and saw wild emus walking along the beach. Apparently they can swim. You can see part of this in the photo. We also passed a lot of salt lakes.
Robe is a very attractive seaside town but we didn't stop at Southend!!
We are now just going to find somewhere to stay for the night.
