Arrived in Phoenix a bit earlier than expected. Our luggage just made it without excess baggage charges with half a pound to spare in each bag. Cannot possibly fit any more in but Mitch insists he needs a stetson & a baseball bat & glove. Headed straight to a baseball game Diamondbacks v SF Giants from the airport & then to the W in Scottsdale. Can't get a hotel cooler than this. Gorgeous pool which is where we are now having breakfast. Perfect blue skies for our upcoming desert drive. Will leave in a couple of hours to head to Sedona. Also have star gazing tour booked for tonight in the desert.
