Right well I'm here! Started the tour as soon as I arrived on 4th. There are 12 people in the group and everyone is really nice. Spent the first evening in Ko San Road and there was allegedly an alcohol ban as it was the presidential elections the following day but we still managed to get a cocktail - flimsy Thai rules!!

Started the following day with a long boat to Wat Po and went to see a very large, very gold reclining Buddha! Had a look round the temples and went to the Great Palace which was good but it was so hot we lost interest after a hour or so. Then got on a 14 hour overnight train to Chiang Mai which was horrible as I couldn't sleep.

Today has been brilliant so far. Went elephant trekking and rafting this morning (not at the same time!) which was so much fun but got soaked!! We are off to watch a Thai boxing match this evening which should be really good.

Right well I'm off to another temple now but will write more in a couple of days as off to Laos tomorrow. Will add photos soon!
