Day who cares
Well it's not good news people. I went to hospital today. X-rays etc. I've been told not to finish the walk. I've been told only to walk again when I have no pain. Probably another 5 days with foot elevated. Still it's not broken. Pain killers etc. so right now I feel like tears as I write this. Intact I'm on my way home to drink a few cold beers to drown my sorrows. Trying hard to put on a brave face but this is very hard news. All is not completely lost I could still bus from town to town but haven't decided yet. Will keep you posted. Not even able to take a flight home either. Thank goodness I'm with Linda and Carlos who have been great. Too soon to make any decisions yet. Thanks for all the support and encouragement you have all show me. Cold commiseration beer here I come. Julie

Julie Thanks guys. I'm more positive now and thinking of new plans. I can't leave spain without visiting Leon and Santiago even if I take the bus. The doctor said I should complete it bar to bar that's his recommendation. Early days not back at work till 17 th June. Pete enjoy Devon. You deserve a holiday. Collette your back soon sounds like Harrison is missing you. Hope the holiday was great. Cheers Steven too call you soon xx
Amanda Oh me Julie!!! You hold your head up high mate!! Whatever happens you've done the walk in my eyes! Its not over till the fat lady sings as they say, you've still got plenty of time so you rest and get better. Going bar to bar sounds good to me, you keep your options open. Def see the places you want to see and just enjoy it as a holiday! Keep smiling, stay positive! We will see you at the finish line, we all send our love and hope you feel better soon. No tears!! Take Care hun, big hugs and smiles for you :-D xxx
Shazza Oh Mate what a bummer!! As we all have said you've done so brilliantly but your well being is more important than the walk and who knows you may go back another year and all will be well. Anyway chook keep your chin up (and your leg) stay safe and well and drink lots:-) I shall probably have a couple or ten on your behalf!! xxxxxxxx
Martini I think it is pretty appaling that you have turfed someone out of their wheelchair. We are not going to do a "save Julie's leg" fund and Sharon is not going to push you around Tobago. Stop being a big girl's blouse. Southern softy
Sharon Sorry Jules I let Martin send you a blog!! He's bad. xxx
Julie It was only someone really old I turfed out. Good what does a person have to do to get sympathy round here. Listen plan b coming into action and by the way no one is getting there money back. I didn't state which year I would complete the camino just said I would do it. Life in the old dog yet Martin.
Vera Bad luck Julie but I'm sure you will come up with a good plan B, can't wait to see what's next xxxxx
