Day 66 Wednesday 16/10 Paris > London 16 deg Cloudy -
Judy here...With a stop at Boulanger Josephine for another delicious baguette, we then bid a fond au revoir to the "City of Light" and headed to Gare du Nord for our 2.5 hour Eurostar train journey to London, which is so much easier than flying! The train is over 350 metres in length, so a few laps on the platform and with the trundle of our bags to the station from our hotel as well, we have almost had a walk for the day. We left a chilly and foggy "Paree" and arrived in London to rain, fortunately it cleared later in the afternoon.
We are so excited to see Jen and Jon and with bub due anytime we are very happy to be with them again. We will keep you posted!
Footnote - We were told by a fellow traveller, at the start of their tour they were advised by their guide "this is not a holiday, it is a tour, so don't expect to rest".
As we have completed our touring and Crete was the part of our holiday to relax, our blogs will now be irregular. Our blog has helped us to feel connected to family and friends while such a long way from home and we hope you have enjoyed them.
In this journey we have visited 9 countries, not including our stopover in Dubai. John has driven us safely for over 10,275km, without a single ticket! We have walked some 450km odd in our exploration. I don't have details for the wine or champagne consumed however we have enjoyed them all. With regards photo's…suffice to say we have many memories!
