Day 17 Tuesday 27/08 Dijon > Montreuil 17deg Cloudy -

Today we are off to our cottage for the next week, in northern France at Montreuil. 560k later we find our cottage which is quaint and delightful with a lovely garden in a very quiet one way street. It is well equipped with many interesting pieces and the owner has been very thoughtful in providing lots of information about the area, in particular the WW1 history. As this home is over 200 years old, to reach the upper two levels you must go up a winding timber staircase, this is not for the fainthearted or the old or young, it was fun for John getting our cases to our room at the top, which has a vaulted ceiling so care must also be taken when opening a window. While we are going to enjoy our stay here, Amy has let us know Maddie is now saying Mama and Dada and has two teeth, we are missing see her change each day, thank goodness for technology!
