Tuesday 15th April - Wednesday 16th April 2008

Hello, arrived back from Phi Phi island today. That's the place where The Beach was filmed.

Got the boat over early on Tuesday from Phuket habour. Really nice boat to say we paid peanuts to get over there compared to everyone else onboard. It took around 90 mins to get across to Maya bay the place where the movie was filmed, took a few snaps for the album. Then we had a tour around the island on board taking some more pictures of this and that. We then landed on shore and had free lunch provided. We sat with a Norweigan family who were really nice and just there for the day.

We then had a ponder around the beach, time for yet more pictures ;) After a while we headed back to the pier as we had a snorkelling session booked which took us to a coral reef area. This was the first time Josh had been to a coral reef I think, or if not he just gets really excited by seeing fish :p

We had an hour snorkelling, got an underwater camera which needs developing so they should be good. Then back to land and we booked in to our hotel. A 4* place which was top notch and we paid like 8quid for the room.

We got a canoe out later in the afternoon and headed around the bay, Josh did abit more snorkelling whilst I was stuck making sure the canoe didnt sail away.We had a few hours doing that. By this time I was burning brightly so we hit the shade for abit. Then headed back to the hotel to freshen up for some night time fun.

That night we went for a steak out meal which was all you can eat that was sweet!! Got chatting to a few girls who were english telling us abit about the island and the best bars to go to, even tho theres only like 10 or so. As we wondered around the streets there were promo girls handing out flyers for their bars, I felt like I was back in Ibiza not some tropical island!

So the night carried on we met quite alot of really nice people a bunch of three girls from down south over for a holiday and this dude from canada we stuck around with for abit. We moved around a few bars getting some cheap deals and buckets for glasses haha. We spent most of the night in this bar where there was a ladyboy show which was entertaining and harmless. By the end of the night I was abit of a wreck, however I can remember coming out and there were burger stalls!! I thought no way can this be real it's like being stood outside Liquid waiting for a burger you know will make you sick as hell the following day haha.

Wednesday, today, we had a few hours in Phi Phi still until 2.30pm. We went up to a vantage point to take a few pictures, then back down the hill and renting out another canoe for an hour and floated round to the Monkey Beach, which is exactly what it says it is. They are bloody vicious little sh!ts though, a few guys went over with bananas for them and they went crazy when they were all out. But again got some more pictures :D

We went for the boat back later in the afternoon, I slept most of it feeling slightly sorry for myself haha. A few hours later we were back at Joshs place. Another good couple of days, tomorrow, I'm on to Sydney wooooop!!!
