HI ok so I'm here in Thailand.

Started out Thursday 10th April 2008 from Manchester Airport flying at 9.55am. Bidded a fond farewell to mum and dad at the airport, dad tearful as a leaking tap bless him ;) I made my way through airport security, getting frisked along the way as they do. I doodled around for abit, made my last go on a bandit for 1 year, throwing away my spare change that I wouldn't need anymore.

The flight was called so made my way down the walkway, and got on board and what a plane! Was nice and spacious, and the air-stewardesses phwoar hello Singapore Airlines! I was sat on an isle seat with an old couple sat next to me who took good care of me for the 14hour flight replenishing me with sweets everytime they woke up after a nap. Films were abit crap but nevermind kept me entertained.

14 hours later I arrived in Singapore Friday 11th, to monsoon style rain and a thunderstorm but bloody roasting. 25c at 5am!! I made my way through the airport which is class! It's stylish and modern with free internet access and gaming rooms with cinema screens and like rainforest areas within the airport its immense! Makes Manchester look like a dive.

Then a few hours passed and time for my next flight on to Phuket to meet Josh. I was abit worried cuz i thought my flight was cancelled as it wasn't showing on the screens, when infact it was I was just reading my ticket wrong whoops - trying to communicate with the Singapore people wasn't easy either so I just smiled and nodded asif I knew what she was saying.

I then arrived in Phuket putting my clock back an hour from Singapore, totally confusing my body clock, it was 9am Phuket time but like 2am UK time or something. So met Josh and the lady picking me up, and drove through the city up to Rawai where I'm staying. The roads were bloody crazy they dont where helmets or give a toss about anything its every man for himself. You see familys of 4 on a scooter, none of them with helmets on and kids like 2 years old its like WHAT!!!

So yeah thats my first day, we went to meet some of Joshs mates who are cool, met a guy from Coogee in Sydney which is where I start out once I get to Australia. Josh took me on a tour around on the back of his scooter which I s*** myself with, but after a while you get used to it. The weather was abit murky and cloudy but still hot.

We went out Friday night, I had a kip in the afternoon to catch up on lost hours. We went to see Thai boxing down in Patong and also had a wonder around the bars. This weekend its the start of Thai new year which sees the biggest waterfight in the world, so we were finding out about that having a few drinks, no Orange WKDs though I was gutted!

Saturday was Joshs birthday. I got his cards out from all his family which they passed on to me so he was happy about having something to open rather than just having to spend his birthday with me he's got a few cards to look at too. During the day we went out on the scooter to a nice beach a few miles away. We also booked a trip to Phi Phi Island where The Beach was filmed. We got a really cheap deal whereby we pay 1600 bharts (about 30quid) for a boat trip over and accomodation overnight in the Phi Phi hotel. We get a snorkelling trip included in Muay Bay so we bought a few waterproof cameras to hopefully take some good pics. So we head there Tuesday and Wednesday.

Saturday night came and everyone was gearing up for the waterfights so we got piss wet through, took money out in plastic bags though to protect it, always thinking ahead ;) 10 of us went down to Patong - the main resort, for Saturday night. Had a really good night, the ladyboys were an eye opener, had my bits felt a few times by ladys, whether they were guys or girls I couldnt tell haha. During the evening met quite a few english people staying in Rawai that I got talking to, met a girl who used to live in Halifax! I ended up being pissed and couldnt remember a great deal come Sunday, but we got to ride home in a tuk tuk yay!!

On to Sunday now and the main day of Thai New Year. We got up around 12 feeling abit crappy but nevermind. Headed out on the scooter to this bar to meet up with everyone from the gym. This waterfight thing is crazy, everyone joins in, people ride in the back of trucks and things with huge water buckets and water guns. Then everyone at the bars just throw water and everything, then when they leave they smile and say thank you. Imagine that in England, you'de end up with a knife in you!!

So we stuck around til 6ish soaking up the atmosphere. Then headed back to the bungalow to get freshened up. By this time everyone had enough of the waterfighting. We headed out for some food, then drove down to this bar to meet up with some english guys. On the way we saw an accident where this woman was sparked out on the road after crashing her scooter. I didn't want to lok but Josh went to see and she had a chunk out of her face and blood pouring from her skull. The ambulance came and sorted her out, so I don't know if she was dead or not.

Today it's Monday and we are chilling out. Its like a bank holiday today with the new year going on. We are heading out to the beach later on. All good!!
