Monday 28st April - Monday 5th May 2008

After a busy first week it was time to go seperate ways from most of the group as the majority are heading north for the better weather. However there were 4 of us sticking around in Sydney for another week so we booked into Wake Up hostel which is slap bang in the centre of the city. It's a really nice hostel, got over 500 beds and was voted the best large hostel in the world, so a good choice.

On Monday we moved from Coogee and lugged our stuff over to city. Most people were in Sydney for one more night before flights out of the city up north on Tuesday so we went together to Wake Up. During the afternoon we headed back to Coogee as we arranged to have a beach BBQ between ourselves which was cool. That night we headed out to some lively bars in Sydney as it was one of the girls birthdays.

On Tuesday we headed out of the city and went over to Manly on the ferry. Theres not a great deal in Manly, we chilled on the beach for abit and did abit of shopping thats about it really.

Later in the week we moved from the city over to Bondi Beach. The area was pretty quiet though and not a lot going on. The hostel was also abit shabby where we were staying but thats all part of the experience I guess. We didnt do much during these days apart from visit a few different beaches and get some early nights to catch up on missed bed time hours hah.

Next week I will be picking up a camper van and making my way down to Melbourne, then on to Adelaide, then up through the centre to see Ayres rock, then on to Cairns and down the east coast. Cant wait man. Hope all is well at home peeps, will probs next update the blog at some point during the road trip.
