I started the day with a swim - 70 lengths of a small oval pool - only enough room for one comfortably so luckily there was only me! There was torrential rain for most of the night and towards dawn the wind became noticeably stronger but with the promise of warm weather a few miles away (nearer the Pacific Coast) I put on three quarter trousers,a t shirt and sandals!
