Landed in tel aviv at 9:30 am. It was interesting explaining to them that I had no flight out of Israel and had no idea where I was staying. The only information I could give them was that I was meeting a kid named adam. After convincing the authorities I was not Arab they let me in.
Adam met me with a 40oz of the local beer. After we finished we went to the rental car place. Everything here seems to be a process. We negotiated for an absurd amount of time and got a decent price. We head out to the garage where we had to catch a bus to another garage... Go figure. Eventually we get the car and drive to jerusalem where we had a 2pm lunch. Apparently the Jews have holidays like every week. During these periods fire (electricity) is forbidden. Therefore, no elevators, cell phone, fans, ac... So on.
When we get to Jerusalem I take no time getting my feet wet... Boom yarmulke right on my dome. When I get to the house for holiday lunch, I blend right in.
Great lunch, interesting people, I'm passing out. Lata.
