Tonight/today, opening ceremony began at 8:30pm and we did not get back to our hotel rooms until 3:00 am. Yes you read right. 3:00 am. We never slept through the night. We got back to our room at three and then it was straight into he showers and by that time it was 4:00am we then depending on how long it took us to get showered and dressed in our riding clothes. To be matched with our horses that we had never met before without any sleep, sound fun yet? It certainly was an adventure to say the least, opening ceremonies were awesome until we got home at 3:00 or later it became a nightmare! As I walked out with my country the pride for my country swelled. Another unexpected realization was when we were waiting on the bus after we got off of the ferry and i looked out my window and noticed Greek men and women who I believe were being deployed and I realized that it is not only U.S soldiers that sacrifice their lives for our freedom but other nations are doing the same. Although I knew this was a reality it truly hit me at that moment. How young these men and women are my heart goes out to ALL service men and women. Thank you. Divisioning begins tomorrow and I am excited. See you tomorrow
