Most things were closed in Geraldine on Sunday. We chatted to a few locals in the morning who told us about a market which was on, but it wasn't very big or exciting so we headed to the supermarket in search of tasty food! The following morning a boy racer who was driving his car around was the talk of the campsite. One of the men had called the police and he had apparently had his license taken away. Omaru is 100km up the coast from Dunedin. During the drive there was a signpost directing to 'Shag Point' which we found amusing, we stopped to take a couple of photos then carried on. We arrived late afternoon, although it does not get dark here until about 10pm. Dunedin is a student town and seemed very industrialised on the outskirts. As we stopped off at the tourist information in Invercargill J began to feel really ill with a migraine. He took some tablets and had a sleep in the back of the van.
