Again we are very lucky with weather and Salzburg was baking hot today. Which according to the tour guide is relatively unusual. We took a 2 hour tour around Salzburg to see the main sites. We were shown grand buildings built by prince-bishops, many sites where the sound of music was filmed, places to do with Mozart and classical music plus numerous churches. Salzburg is an old city and quite grand as it gained wealth from it's salt and marble stored in the mount...

We made it to Austria! After a long journey yesterday involving loud Czech girls, an unexpected change of trains, running with our heavy bags to catch the train and lots of reading we finally arrived in Salzburg. After checking into the hostel we set out to find food and have a look around.
