We visited the Cu Chi tunnels today which were used during the french and american wars. We walked through the tunnels for about 25metres before I panicked and had to get out! I had to crouch down to walk through the tunnel, it was dark and very hot - very claustrophobic!! There are areas much further down which are big enough for people to stand, these are the areas where people used to live. When we got back to Siagon (HCMC) we brought vodka and speakers for the ipod to start new years celebrations in our hotel room! After finishing the vodka we ventured out to the busy streets, watched traditional dancing and music before the fireworks went off at midnight. Walking back to our hotel was a complete nightmare... the road was literally full of motorbikes and mopeds (in picture), so it was very scary crossing the road... cassie had to pull me along whilst I screamed 'OH MY GOD' until we got to the other side!
