In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight.......
So today we leave Asia and are flying to Sydney. We have had about 24 hours in Singapore and I'm a bit gutted we didn't give it some more time. We arrived yesterday morning and headed to Chinatown to find somewhere to crash. Everywhere seemed sold out including a place called 'Pillows and Toast'. What more could you want right? We found somewhere opposite where they offered us an 8 bed dorm just between the two of us and this was our best option so we took it.
We had a couple of hours before heading to the night safari so Pete decided to have a look in the area near the Singapore Flyer (big wheel) and I decided to have a look around Chinatown and Little India. I grab a quick Chinese meal and walked around Chinatown before heading on the train to Little India. After a walk around here I headed back to shower and get ready for the night safari.
Pete got back just after me and then we headed to this highly recommended night safari. We went to the animal show which was really cheesy. Some of the animals didn't come out and some came out and disappeared after about 10 seconds. So disappointing. We then queued for almost an hour whilst waiting for the tram ride but Malaysians don't queue and just push. That's where the term 'f***ing Malaysians' comes from. This is can also be abbreviated to FM so locals don't understand. Compared to the Thai locals they are really rude and have no patience. Eventually we got on the tram and it took us around. Again, bit cheesy and not amazing views of a lot of the animals. I think my head would have exploded if I had heard one more time "you might be able to see right at the back......". If the backs where they all stay build a new road and drive us that way. Also we were right at the back so we quite often couldn't see the enclosure. The bushes were alright though.
After a highly disappointing night safari we headed for dinner and a beer at Hooters. Same as in America but with Asian girls. They all had very lovely personalities. Also, they each had a couple of great assets. After this we headed back and crashed out for a few hours before getting up to catch our flight.
This is the end of our Asia trip as we are now heading back to the Western world of Australia. Hope everyone is still reading and will keep you posted on Oz very soon.
