24 de Septiembre We woke up early, then took a bus to Riobamba where we spent what felt like hours (actually it was an hour and a half) waiting for a late bus. This bus went to Cuenca and the journey was 5 hours. When we arrived at the bus station a man persuaded us to stay in his hostal because it had carpet in the rooms (we hadn't seen a carpet since Phoenix!)
