didnt get up to much for the last couple of days in Palolem just lounging on the beach and the usual great meals in the evening and lunchtimes for Nick and i, we were eating 2 steaks a day as they were that damn good, people if you ever go to Palolem eat at Cool Breeze and Titanic they are awesome.

Had a major blowout and big goodbye on our last night with everyone we had met, it was a crazy night and we were all suffering the next day myself especially.

Boarded the 15hr train down to Ernakulam Station, Kerala at about 11pm on the 10th, we were all dreading the journey but we had beds so wasnt too bad, we all slept right through the night i was up first at 6am for coffee which is awesome by the way and only Rp 5 per cup so 8 pence ish, woke Nck and Ricky at about 7am as they were serving breakfast which was sort of an omellette sandwich thing but wasnt too bad, Nick and I enjoyed even if Ricky didnt.

As soon as we arrived in Ernakulam at 2.30pm on the 11th we booked ourselves a taxi over to Fort Cochin as we heard it was supposed to be really nice, we were not disappointed it was beautiful very European as it was heavily influenced by the Portugese, found ourselves a little room for Rp450 so about 7.50 GBP not bad between 3 of us even if we did have to squeeze into 1 double bed but that is common place now!

Ventured out that evening had some decent food then went to check our emails as we had arranged to meet Beau and Sally form Palolem and do a riverboat cruise with them as it would work out cheaper, as i was reading my Facebook who should walk past? only bloody Beau, who would have thunk it?

Spent the rest of the evening with him, Sally and Will who they had picked up along the way playing Scrabble which was real fun! Arranged for the next day to meet up early and head down to Alleppey for the Riverboats so up at 9am had breakfast in the Teapot where they have the most amazing Death By Chocolate cake which was nice for breakfast, then onto the local buses where i had to stand for 2 hours with my rucksack that was fun!

Got to Alleppey at 6pm and immediately found ourselves a tout who promised us a riverboat for Rp1300 each for 24 hours including all meals, we took it.
