After getting up in the bright sun and heat was such an amazing change to cold, wet england! I then went outside with a cup of kenyan tea to have the shock of seeing the amazing view of kilifi creek with a small but lovely pool overlooking it all! i then had lots of pawpaw and mango to start me off for the day. The Grants then took me down the steep hill so that they could take me waterskiing!! And i managed to stand up and keep on going on my 3rd go! (addmittedly after some hillarious wipe outs that had Seumas and Krissie laughing very hard!! Then Seumas and Karen showed me how it was really done but on a mono ski! We then went into town after that with aching forarms to get some food and my local sim (+254715285913 but not sure how much it'll cost to text me!).
Next, we got ready for the big party! Everyone who owns a boat on kilifi creek would join them all up around one big central boat and start socialising! They would all then dispearse and go to different partys. I went with the Grants to the Colsons (a very lovely from south africa). Their house was like a hotel and was surrounded by big walls so it was like fort knox! All the 'youngies' then went to distant relatives where loads of people went for a proper party into the night. (the actual party lasted for 2 days but i couldn't hadle that! ) i saw so many people from kingswood there it was so so lovely!! all so supprised to see me!
Late at night (or early in the morning) we went down to the beach and et some locals who were mostly drunk oh who knows what but were all very welcoming and kept on saying "one love man, one love". Sadly we missed the glowing plankton that krissie swam though later in the night! What a great and exhausting day!
