Ok we are now in the Highlands. Its alot cooler up here and it rains every day! its really lush and green here and this is the main area for fruit, veg and the biggest tea plantation in asia. I know what your thinking Tea calm down you party animal! But its really nice here and we are going on a tour tomorrow.
We went to the strawberry fields first where i had the nicest and freshest strawberry smoothie ever! then i had a some strawberrys and cream, i was in heaven.
Then we went to a butterfly centre (oh yeah we live life on the edge) they also had massive insects, lizards and snakes (ken would of loved it mum) the bloke got massive beetles out for us to hold and also scorpions. You had to hold them by the sting but no one was brave enough to have a go. i also got to hold a big lizard (i hated it though) and then hold a big tortoise.
Then we went to a bee farm which was crap and then to the tea plantation which owns 4000 acres of land just for tea. the workers are payed pennies a day but they have got everything they want up there they have houses, 2 shops, a church, a mosque, a hindu temple and a school for the kids. After the tour i had a cup of fresh rosie over looking the acres of tea.
Tonight im going to have some scones with fresh strawberry jam and a nice cuppa (since ive turned 22 ive changed!!!)
Anyway the food here is great its all indian and really cheap. Me and kris just had a massive lunch both of us are stuffed and it came to 1.50. they serve a thing called Roti its like a really thin naan bread/ savory pancake and they give you a little curry to dip it in and they cost 10p so we get a meal and a few rotis and we are away. Also they have a drink called Lassi its a yogurt smoothie and the strawberry one today was lovely.
Off to next stop tomorrow.
