Surprise!

Im now in Malaysia, we were planning on flying from Siem Reap to Bangkok. We had heard some horror stories about the border crossing so we werent up for that. But all the flights we could find were quite expensive to anywhere in thailand even though they are neighbours! We found a deal to Malaysia and decided we would fly to Kl and then travel up to the south of thailand as that is where all the stunning beaches are.

We thought we had saved loads of money until we started looking for accomodation, little did we know but this weekend is the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix, everywhere is booked solid or really expensive. so now we had a choice 50 quid a night, a 22 bed dorm or an 8 bed dorm?? we went for the lesser of 2 evils and booked the 8 bed. so we are dorming it for one night then we are pack in a private and paying quite alot because now we were used to Cambodian prices. And i dont even like F1!!! we did try and get tickets but we were too late.

Dropped our bags off then went exploring went over too the twin towers they were the tallest building in the world up until 2 years ago. going to stay out as long as possible then hopefully get a good sleep tonight. We will do all the touristy stuff tomorrow.

Went out for a beer, big mistake because Muslims dont drink there is a massive tax on alcohol was going to cost me 4 quid for a pint! I cant handle these prices bring back Nam's 10p a glass prices!!

Today we went to the Sky tower (4 th tallest in the world have that Peter Walker and the one in auckland! ) then went to the Twin towers they are really amazing but we couldnt get tickets up to the viewing gallery as its first come first served. After all the sight seeing we popped into the mall and it was crazy theres about 1000 shops including a top shop so kris was in heaven! no Lacoste shop for me though!

Went out for a really nice meal. Its got a really big Indian and Chinese feel here also everyone is so friendly and helpful we are both really liking it here. On the bus tomorrow off to our next stop.

Also seen some massive rats strutting about, Nice!
