Hong Kong airport is absolutely amazing. It even makes the top 10 tourist destinations in Hong Kong and that is saying something! There is an area where you can go and play games. But they have the best games in the world. There was one called Soul Surfer. It was really cool, you even got to stand on a surf board while playing the game! Surfing....ahh yes I remember that!
We arrived into Bangkok after 2 hr flight which seemed to fly by! We got a taxi out of the airport, turns out the taxi was actually a limosuine (not a stretch...just a really nice car). It cost us 900Bhat to get to our hotel in Bangkok.
Our hotel was the one that Mark and the Beausie boys were staying in. We thought we would suprise them. We had already met Leah and Maddy in the baggage collection place which was totally random! The hotel was nice but we were only staying there for one night!
The next day was pretty much a write off as it had been a late night! The day after however we ventured out on a tuk tuk (the only way to get around in Bangkok) and went off to see a palace and also the lucky Buddah. However when we turned up at the lucky Buddah, the Buddah was actually on lunch, well thats what the monk told us anyway! More like the Unlucky Buddah!
We then went to a toursit information place where we organised the rest of our travel within Bangkok and Thailand. It was a good move to make as the person was very helpful and helped us plan about 25 days in advance
After a couple of days in Thailand I was beginning to resent Bangkok a little. It was very dirty and basically orientated to get Brits drunk! Plus we kept on being hassled by lady boys! Shocking! We booked ourself on an overnight bus and got the hell out of there! I was glad to be leaving and actually heading towards a beach! Bring on Koh Samui!
