Day 125 (Tuesday 20th February 2007)
... Not even going to bother! Very un-interesting!...
Meanwhile...
Jonesy's coming home
Marc spent the whole day on the phone to luxury hotels and tour operators and by the end of the day he had compiled the best adventure ever. It had it all, flights, transfers, 5-star hotels, honeymoon suits, spa rooms, romantic dinners, sunset horse rides along the beach, kayaking, jet skiing and snorkelling in the Whitsundays, scuba diving trips to the Great Barrier Reef, night safaris and crocodile hunting in the Daintree and much, much more!
Though Sarah knew he was planning something, Marc wasn't going to reveal his masterplan just yet, instead deciding to surprise her along the way. He was so excited...
Ria and Dan returned from work and took Marc out for a meal for his last night in Adelaide. We chewed over a juicy bit of steak and Marc's exciting plans at the local Hog's Breath restaurant.
Our visa situation was causing a few concerns, so marc phoned Sarah to try and get that taken care of. Sarah was her usual happy self and Marc began wondering if all his efforts to save the relationship was worthwhile.
The call ended abruptly and, left feeling rather hurt and lonely, Marc decided once and for all to just go home. He'd done all he could!
If he left soon, he might just catch the Carling Cup final!!
Day 126 (Wednesday 21st February 2007)
With Eola hurling in the bathroom all day I took Cameron off her hands for a few hours and watched a Wiggles marathon! He thinks it's great and wiggles along with them!
Marc was due to fly back to Brisbane today so I gave him a quick call to see what time his flight landed. When I spoke to him he told me that he wasn't coming back and was instead booked on a flight back home tomorrow lunch time. I could go off on one now but im not going to bore you all with anymore of that as im sure you will all be filled in very shortly!
So me and my 'usual happy self' spent the afternoon helping Wendy with the horses and we had a good chat while we were there! She is great and she really has been there for me, I appreciate everything and I love her to bits! infact they have all been great and I love them all to bits! Even Andy, even though he does just take the piss out of me all of the time!
After discovering that the travel agents had made a huge c*** up and instead of giving me a 6 month visa I only had a 3 month I sat down to start working out what the hell I was going to do! As the visa runs out on Feb 28th I had two choices! Book a flight home to the cold, rain and general crap or get an extention and see some more of sunny Australia before I go!
Dont have to be a brain surgeon to work out which one won!
Jonesy's coming home
Marc was up at 06:00 for the Champions League games. He watched the 'Galacticos' beat Bayern Munich 3-2, before watching his beloved Arsenal slump to a 1-0 defeat at PSV.
Sarah phoned to find out what the hell was going on, so Marc revealed to her his decision to fly home. There was no shouting, no arguements, just a horrible, gut-churning and uncomfortable feeling. It was horrible...but we both knew it was for the best!
Marc got himself ready and popped into the city to see our old friend Tomasso at Qantas. He got Marc on to tomorrow's lunchtime flight from Adelaide. Just like that, it was done. Jonesy's coming home...
