As Katherine told you in our last blog entry, I spent the morning Kayaking to Monkey Island... notorious for its 'rabid' unfriendly monkeys who apparently are keen to steal the last hair on your head. Wow.... we really lived the high life today. Hopped on a bus to Halong Bay to start our adventure. We boarded a private boat that had linen table cloths and proper napkins and set sail along the bay where we could see lots of little boats and beautiful views. Good morning Vietnam! We arrived safely after a 14 hour bus journey.....luckly we had gone out the night before to say goodbye to China so the majority of the trip was spent soothing hangovers at the back of the bus! Arrived in Sapa, a small town in the North of Vietnam. It is lovely, set in mountains with busy little narrow streets where locals sell their wares; and a large lake set in the middle of town.
