Departed Tusayan and Grand Canyon and drove to Flagstaff via the San Francisco Scenic Highway past the skiing areas of Humphreys Peak. Had a morning tea with Sherri & Dave Corcoran, and then a detour to Sedona. This is Larry's favourate place on earth (apart from Melbourne). Being a Sunday the road was chockas so the detour actually ended up as a four hour excursion.

We hightailed it from Sedona to Hoover Dam, and managed to get photos while there was still light. They are very particular about vehicles on the dam wall and we had a police inspection before we could cross. They are building a massive new bridge across the Colorado to replace the dam crossing.

We arrived in Las Vegas at nightfall. The Hilton is a do it yoursef place - seems I booked the Hilton Grand Vacations Club which is like an apartment arrangment.

Tomorrow we look around the place.
