Today is an easier day as we have completed the hard yards . We awoke to the loud noise of the air ballon flame thrower very close to us. We looked out the door and all around us were balloons we had flown with hovering above us . They were so close we could see the people’s faces. It made for a spectacular wake up call.
The first thing we went to see was a place called love valley . The name comes from the shape of the rocks that have been shaped through wind and rain over centuries and now have the form of penises. The one comment that came from this is that they are always rock hard, haha.
From here we rolled onto the valley of imagination , this is where by using your imagination you put names to rock formations. I’ve taken some picture see what you can come up with.
The next touristy thing we went to was a carpet making factory . When you see the manual work that goes into each carpet you soon realise why these carpets or rugs are so expensive. Again I’ve taken photos of some that I thought were smashing.
We arrived back at the hotel about 2.30 , nothing happening now til 6.00
It 6, on the bus to see a show, The Whirling Dervishes. The dancers in the show continually revolved with their eyes closed but never lose balance or the space between each of them.. Try yourself and see how long you can spin around without falling or losing your balance, these men did it for 45 minutes and are known to do this up to 4hrs.
Tomorrow is a moving day again but this time it is at least an 8hr trip so probably no blog .
So with all that done I am saying good night from Shirley and I.
Look after yourselves,
Shirley and John
