Long day expected ,up at 4am ,taxi to airport 4:20 am ,all going like clock work.
Fight 30 minutes delay, now we are on our way to Paris, we arrive 11:00, B&B 11:30.
We are close to the Eiffel Tower and Invalides des Hotel and the river Seines.
We meet the new landlord her name is Jessica, she is Swedish and she gave us the house tour and the rules of the house.
now the adventure in Paris starts, we're off to discover the city and its well known tourist spots and our first is the Muse'e d Orsay. This is about 20 minute walk from where we are staying so we get a two for one ,because we get to wonder through the Paris streets and lanes and sit and continue our tradition as we make our way there.
Inside the museum there is a display of all the impressionist painter ,Monet ,Cezanne,
Van Gogh just to name a few. These are the beautifully art works it has taken me years to see and Asks myself where are artist like these today.
We stop for dinner at a side walk cafe, and become just like the movies, watching the people going by as we eat ,our meal.
Now it off to the Eiffel Tower ,when you get to see this larger then life mechano set type structure it is hard to imagine how this could have been made in that era. The Tower stands 330 meters high, but is no longer the tallest structure in the world. Shirley and I rode the life to the top and we're not disappointed with the view, stunning for 360 degrees and celebrated with a kiss and glass of champagne.
So day one over and what a day ,we walked 12ks and we are bit stiff and tired so goodnight to all
