Day 35 6/10/2018.

Moving to Chanda our last stop in Greece.
Finding our way out of the old town of Rethymno was much easier then get in three days ago , we get on the bus which take us Chandia for the last part of our Greek experience. The ride takes a little over an hour ,then a short walk to our hotel ,the Kydon , and set. Our room is ready so we go up and within a few minutes we are out exploring this new town. First the market ,it reminded me of Paddy’s market, in Sydney, then a search for a massage place as Shirley is get a bit tight after eight weeks on the road, I miss read the map so turned out to be just a walk. From here we found our way to the tourist area ,full of goodies supposedly at cheap prices. Shirley has excelled again the hotel is within walking distance of everything.
We found a bar down on the water front to continue our tradition, a small white wine and we watch the people go by for a while, sitting in the sun can really draw the tiredness out of you . Back to the hotel and you can guess what happened, to older people needed their nanny nap , awoke about 6 !
We’re just in time as we are to eat at this restaurant called Maridaki we found in trip adviser , the salad was good , the squid to oily, fried eggplant the same, the chip were ok but the worst thing of all the wine was discussing. So their be no good reviews about this one.
We decided to walk our not so good dinner off, so we went back to the tourist area ,looked at a lot of stuff brought a couple of things. We were walking around in the restaurant area when this Greek man wonder over and started this spiel , “I’ve been doing this job along time and I know when I see such a smiley couple that they are looking for a romantic place ,” by this time Shirley and I are laughing but he got us, we go in have a wine , it was a 1 out of 10 wine but they had a live band so that made up for it. The time is after 10 so we set the campus for home .
So the end is drawing near that’s probably the way it should be, but wouldn’t it be great if you could just keep on going to yet another country till you got tired of travel, wouldn’t happen , just love people to much.
