Still following your progress from a very icy UK. Our plans have not panned out as well as yours as the roads and pavements were death traps after the heavy snowfalls last week. We'll be heading home (weather permitting!) next Monday (18th). Take care of yourselves!!!

Just been on the blog and updated myself as to your adventures. Been out of touch with being away. This week is back to normal - yuk. Ethan's school days are going to be long - starts at 7h20 and finishes at 3!!! Cameron excited about learning to read. Not sure about homework though.
Missing you lots

(I accidentally posted this yesterday on your Kenya portion and wasn't sure if you'd see it so re-posting on the main board)
Happy New Year John & Marina!!!! We've been back from our honeymoon for almost a week and miss Africa already. We recently visited Katie's family in Charlotte, NC for New Years and everyone enjoyed our pictures. We couldn't help but reminisce the time we spent with Malley, Moisanga and you guys. We'll be checking out your blog to keep up with your safari (journey) and wish you a great start to the New Year!

Happy 2010 Marina & John ! What a way to start the new year on such an adventurous note. Wishing you a safe and very fullfilling remainder of your journey.

We are mapping your progress on the T-shirt u gave us in C.T. The camp scene with beer in hand is so familiar that we could be there. We will raise a bottle of kindness yet and drink to auld lang syne. (Single malt)--extra toasts include - your tenacity- Marina and Brigitte-the long road ahead-the long road behind-the beast -the brotherhood of men -the last drops in the bottle.

Hi J and M.
We just got back from 3 weeks in Dubai last night and have spent the past few hours catching up on your very eventful progress. We are extremely envious of the outdoor and brave exoerience you are living and await with anticipation your regular input to everyone. The photos are fantastic as are the most informative blogs --- so have a WONDERFUL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. P.S. the only wild life in Dubai is lots of camels and zillions of flies and mosquitos. Hi John and Marina. Hope you both had an awesome bush Christmas. It looks like you had a great time out there. We had a quiet day at home with the children and Valentina.
Be safe and God bless with the rest of your travels.
