Had breakfast in the buffet, called the Aloha Room. Everyone had protein .
We had to take the tender boat to shore as The Pride of America is too big to dock at the shore. The crew used the ship's lifeboats. Great trading for crew and equipment.
Once ashore we took a 30 minute high speed ride on a Zodiac boat thru the ocean to a protected cove where we snorkeled for a couple hours. We saw blue, yellow, black, striped, etc fish. They almost surrounded you. But no one could grab one. Connor saw a small shark and a one foot across sea turtle. Nan joined everyone in the ocean. Nan the snorkeling granny.
After we got tired of the water, the 3 man crew treated us to fresh pineapple, chips, and a drink.
The ride back was another 25 MPH ride over the waves, but we did slow down a couple of times to cruise near the lava cliffs that aligned the shore. We saw where lava tubes allowed molten lava to reach the ocean.
Unfortunately due to technical difficulties, we have no pictures of the trip.
Also on the way back we were surrounded by a herd of 7 or 8 dolphins who entertained us with their antics like jumping out of the water & diving under boats. Quite a show.
The shower felt good when we got back. Before supper we saw a magic show by the same magician as last night. Connor got a CD about 20 magic tricks that can be done at home.
We ate at the Skyline restaurant, but went upstairs to the buffet for dessert.
Tonight we make our longest ride - a 237 mile trip to the island of Kauai. The city's name is Nawiliwili.
