A very cold start at Melbourne Parkrun this morning. The run soon warmed us up and the scenery was beautiful around the lake at Albert Park, shared with the black swans.
By the time we'd returned the hire car and been back to the hotel for a shower, it was nearly lunchtime. We decided to skip breakfast and head straight to Mrs Parma's for a delicious eggplant palmagiana with a topping of ham, napoli and melted cheese. Well deserved after a good run this morning! We sampled a couple of ciders/beers too and I wrote my first untapped beer review...
Next, we walked through the mall and got the tram to Brunswick Town Hall for a local craft/designers market. We bumped into Lisa's mother-in-law; Rosy, which was a lovely surprise. Once shopped out, we went for a coffee and chat with Rosy and then caught the tram towards Fitzroy. We popped into The Cider House for a yummy tasting paddle of 5 local ciders and then went a few doors down for some dinner at The Veggie Bar. The Rum Diary Bar was next for some unusual and delicious cocktails.
On the way back to the hotel, we heard some awesome music coming from 'The Catfish' and were drawn inside for a final tipple. It was a fabulous funk band called The Immortal Horns. A few tunes (and dances) later, we finally went back to the hotel to catch some zzzzzzzzs.
Another great day of exploring in Melbourne!
